Images (Buttons)

I set up my theme, and it's almost done, but there's a problem. I don't know how to replace the default buttons with the buttons I'm going to make. (The blue clashes with the yellow and black quite badly.) Do I have to upload it somewhere else and then link there or something?

You can't upload your images, you can just use the images that are currently uploaded

You'd need to upload all of the theme files to another website and then change the Theme URL.

So okay, let's say I uploaded the buttons onto some site. Now what do I do? Will they just work if I change the theme url? Sorry that I'm kind of new to this and I basically need this spoonfed to me.
