Plug-Ins Won't Activate

I can't activate any of my plug-ins. I login into the Admin CP, click Plug-Ins, click activate (tried this with several plug-ins), the page refreshes with a message stating my plug-in has been activated, but it remains in the Inactive section. 

I should note, I do notice the updates in the global templates. Thanks for the help in advance!
