How do I make a category?

How do I make a category? I can't seem to find a place where I can create a category. Is the first category the start of one figure. Cause then that would explain a lot.

And I have your solution to this to. Where it says "Parent forum," click none. (I believe thats right.)

Click on create new forum in the ACP and where it says "Act as forum" tick "no". It then becomes a category and you can add child forums to that category.

Additionally, categories have to have "None" selected as the parent forum, unless you want it to be a subcategory.

Also, I'm moving this to General Support. This is in no way related to themes and templates...
