Ignore list

My board is bbb.createmybb4.com

A question from one of my users that I couldn't answer. What does the ignore list actually do? On the User CP it says that you won't see posts or PMs from somebody you ignore but:

• Will you still see the rest of the thread?
  
• What if that user started the thread but others have replied?
  
• If you remove somebody from your ignore list, will their posts come back?
  
• If you remove somebody from your ignore list, will their PMs come back?
  
• Can the person tell they are being ignored?
  

Anything I haven't thought of?

2. i belive just their posts are hidden
3. yes.
4. no. They are blocked
5. on pms yes
