User changes don't stick if not the default theme
#11
User can still change their own settings as long as they make sure to tick all of the relevant boxes each time they change a setting.

Screenshot 3 shows that even though the options are unchecked in the user CP that they remain checked in admin CP > User and groups > account settings.

Ah - so it's a perception thing. When a user ticks boxes and then clicks the button, the changes go through and then the form resets. is that how it works? [I don't think so. I tried on my cb1300 forum to change to 50 posts per page. It didn't change it from default.]

But if so, why does it behave differently in THIS forum? When I go to the form, it shows tick marks where I have made changes, even when I re-enter the form. On this forum, when I click update changes, it tells me the changes have been made. On the other forums I do not always get that message.
