What's in global.css

I dont know what the things in global.css do, could someone give me pictures outlining a part if a forum and tell me where I can change it in global.css? Like, I don't know how to change this (in the pic)

What .[something] is it? I know how to change them, but not where to change them. And if you can, give me a full list of where the .[somthing]'s are and what they do Smile thanks in advance

You can use software such as firebug to find out what is inside each css element in a forum then edit the css code to change the look of your forum.
