Passwords not being sent to new users

Hi,

I was recently alerted by two people who were trying to register for my forum that they could not complete the registration process. When they try to create an account, they receive an error and the automated email with their random password is never sent to them.

I tested it out by trying to register an account, and I confirmed the error on the page after you submit your registration:

"Deprecated: Function eregi() is deprecated in C:\sites\createmybb\member.php on line 131

Deprecated: Function eregi() is deprecated in C:\sites\createmybb\member.php on line 131

Deprecated: Function eregi() is deprecated in C:\sites\createmybb\member.php on line 131

A random password has been generated and sent to your email address. Before you can login on these forums, you will need to check your email for this password."


I went into Admin CP and manually set passwords for the 2 people that emailed me, but I'm afraid that many other people couldn't register and didn't bother sending me an email about it!
