Maybe something happen in MyBB latest update that broke it... have to wait to see if people report issesu.

Registered posters can't see the threads.   New registered can.  Old posters are denied to post or read threads.  Visitors can read . If I log off I can read.  If I register with new name and email I can post

Check permissions compare newly registered and guests to the other membergroups.
