Installed the shoutbox plugin. all settings as they should be..no shoutbox. any idea why? permisions settings double and triple checked. baffling.

I believe you have to edit your theme an add the code to your theme.
Check in the forums I think someone posted a guide.

Yep read it...couldn't make sense of it, where does it go? and what is the bit at the bottom and where does that go?  

In templates when you modify the main index template.

Just put it near the bottom i think.
