I need help, I'm quite new to createmybb so I don't know. How exactly do you expand the default theme? I can't seem to find the option as there's no documentation on it. I need to, to be able to add a favicom and forum icons.

Favicon you can't. Forum icons maybe if you look at the theme you might be able to edit the css not sure about the html
