How to use a premade theme?

Is there no way to add your own template that is already made through the theme/template section under the ADMIN CP?

I just want to upload my own theme and not have to start from scratch and I have looked all over this help forum and there is nothing that answers this question. Thanks.

I purchased the personalized CSS thinking I could simply install a theme and alter it to my needs.
